I hate to do this so choose to ignore it, but if you guys are looking for any parts, I have a few up for sale that are taking up space in my apartment and I think it's making my roommate frustrated.

Side gear is not supposed to be in 2 pieces

 

Whoa is that a chuck of the elocker?

 

I think it is part of the elocker. They called it the Differential Side gear..but ya either way its wasnt good. Here are a couple pics of both sides. Give you a better idea of what it is. It's so clean its just strange that it should be one piece

 

Sadly though they installed 5.29 gears into my 3rd. I didn't notice till I got home and was taking one last look at things before i stabbed it in and saw the 529 stamping on the ring gear. Took it back to them so it wont get back to me until tuesday or wednesday If it had been 4.88 I prolly would have just run it but no way with 5.29's.

 

That is interesting. I not very familiar with the guts inside the locker. At least it looks like a simple part. It makes sense to have it shear like that because usually gears are hardened. You'd think the teeth would die first

 

My buddy just got 5.29s for his 3rd yesterday.They must of did them at the same time.

 

Shit happens.....they've seen this part break like that before.

Ya the guy had a story about mismarked labeling on the nitro gear boxes from orders from Nitro gear and it goes back to some 5.29's he ordered last week. I'm just happy I didn't put it in. i'll take a few days delay over doing it all over again.

 

Little hard to dd on 5.29 if you aren't at least 35s

I'm on 35's but still goin with 4.56's

 

He heard mine was turbo'd and had to up me.

 

The only part of the race that really matters is the hole shot anyways. gearing>turbo lag

Until you get to a sand hill. But I'm geared too, but no locker yet. I brake boost or kick the clutch on dirt anyways.
