sweet jesus, $400 for a rear diff skid?? I could've sworn I'd seen one somewhere else for less than a hundred bucks.

edit: Lowrange Offroad sells one for $40...definitely not as fancy but still

Meh, so long as it does what it's supposed to do...doesn't need to be pretty. No one sees under my truck anyway, if they can then I'm probably in need of a major recovery

I agree ten fold. When I say janky I mean just a few notches above sheet metal.

Really like the BAMF one. Similar ones from other guys are about the same price. Not into the all pro or low range. Pretty sure those are weld on that's why they are cheaper.

We mentioned our Rowher meet this Sunday in that thread while they were debating a couple options of their own and it threw everyone for a loop

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Weld on only (means you gotta change that diff oil) AND it doesn't support an e-locker?

It looks like a crazy basic steel diaper.

Yknow how the new guys roll into the bar with "something to prove?" Ever heard "a 220?"

I wanna put that whole subforum on an ice block and just push it free.

I find myself in the 3rd gen section from time to time if a thread pops up on the main page that sounds like it could be a general question about something not necessarily 3rd gen exclusive.....but those threads almost always turn into a shit-show. Definitely a different world compared to the 2nd gen forum, and especially the 1st gen one. The first gen one is probably the most practical forum here, every question is straight up and met with straight up answers lol. In 10 years I'm sure the 3rd gen forum will follow suit, all the unhappy and unappeasable members will be filtered out and the 4th gen forum will have it's chance to shine.

If that's the same thread I'm thinking of, the OP admitted to being a troll....but the point still stands
