I don't think it's something to worry about too much. When I was searching for mine, they even went as far as northern Cali to search for the color I wanted. So they do trades with other dealerships and usually ask if it's alright to drive the car down, rather than paying the extra fees to transport it on a trailer. In my case, of course I declined and waited for one to arrive in stock locally.

Alright sweet, thanks for the input. I wasn't and am not tripping over 38 miles. I bought it a week and a half ago so im at 400 miles right now.
Wheels, tires and suspension go on this week and I'm super stoked !

Nothing to really worry about. Sometimes stuff gets taken out of dealer traded vehicles, wheel caps, floor mats ect and then it's the new dealerships problem. Some people beat lot cars but usually dealer trade drivers are old guys they pay to transport the vehicle and pick up the one they traded for. I wouldn't be concerned at all

prior to arriving at dealer lots, is the truck actually driven around a track or is it done in a lab-like environment with those roller things

If a PDI was done (at least in Canada) it should always include a road test (usually about 10km, but that doesn't always happen).

Little tree air fresheners. Clazzio black leather seat covers.
Mine was fresh off the truck and I had to pull all the plastic off so I could test drive it. She had 3 miles on here. Fortunately I was the first and only person to look and drive my 16'
Well besides the first 3 miles ha.

My Corvette and Challenger were like that too, about 30 miles on the vette and 33 on the Challenger. I probably won't buy another brand new vehicle for another 20 years. Next one in 9 will be used at around 20000 miles. Getting older and want to spend money in other ways like getting a motorcycle.

So no PDI was done. Confirms they didn't check fluid levels ;)

Lol, my best friend is the NW quality champion for Toyota, I can assure you he did EVERYTHING I requested.

Interestingly enough, u-bolts were torqued, fittings greased, fluids where they should be. Guess they decided to make a line change.

    Nice passive aggressive dig though!

Let me add though; I drove my truck to the service bay. I guess that maybe should be added to the odo for delivery as the pic was taken before PDI.
