What tint % did you go with?

The shop I go to ONLY uses 3M and they charge us 20 a window for everything except the front glass for Color Stable with warranty. The shop and owner have been there since my mom got her Camaro done in 1983.

I went with 35% Front and 15% Back and Rear!

 

Did you use color stabilized or the metalized type?

 

35% up front, 55% on the back. 3m premium precut off eBay. Tint shop wanted 300 plus, did it myself for 99.

20% on the fronts which matches perfectly to the rear factory. Did a strip across the top of the windshield also.

finally got the windows tinted. 35% on everything

I just got 20% all around (20% over the factory 28% in the rear makes it about limo tint) and it is great. I did want 5% at first, but I wanted to keep some night visibility. Next week I go in to get the entire windshield done in 50%. Overall I really like how it turned out.

 

I hated the back factory "tint". any light came in another window and it made it look like there was no tint at all

 

I believe that is what they did my fronts at. Originally they didn't do the rears so I went back and had them do 20% on the rear, I like it and don't think it's to dark.

Didn't ask the brand name because the guy I go through is the best and have been using him for years, I trust his judgement.

 

All Titanium - 20% on 2 front and 50% on Windshield. left the others stock for now. for those that havent done it, windshield is a total game changer on your tint job. aids in the cooling and darkening process and almost completely reduces all glare. very addictive, will never have a vehicle without tined windshield

i got the front tint on my wife's new suv a couple months ago and hate it. she likes it and it does help with heat. but it's halfway between needing sunglasses or not, and when i do wear mine it distorts the color noticeably. it also picks up scratches from her sun visor. but it does help with glare a bit. it's good for my wife, she's not into the details, but i am detail crazy and i can't hardly stand that front tint. i use good quality polarized glasses and they don't need any help, so I've found. I'm just talking about the front.

5% all around... not sure what that makes the back windows, but they are BLACKED out.
