In any case I don't see the twins sales numbers climbing much more. Nor do I see the Tacoma selling the same numbers it did this year or last. They were record years for the Tacoma, and I think the market isn't growing much more for small trucks unless they can start posting far better mpg numbers. I mean actual numbers too. Not the ones some guy on the internet says his dash is showing. More competition is coming and that could put a dent in Tacoma sales... which is fine because from what I understand Tacoma's, both 2015's and 2016's, had some of the shortest average lot times.

    1. I said I am on flat terrain.
    2. 7% grade in this video for 8 miles good for you at 5600 pounds !!! Time 9:48 is the review. Research first please. This "one" video good enough for you ?

2016 model actually beat the 2015 model 8:05 to 8:49 if I remember correctly. Who woulda thought? Lots are filling quickly with used 2015 and earlier models on trade ins I hear for the new model. BTW I have a Tundra Pro for the big loads.

I wouldn't want a Tacoma that's done that run lol. Yes I've actually posted that video myself because I was impressed over the Colorado, but the time it was done in has nothing to do with whether that's good on the truck or not. Ido bet that 2GR was screaming at 5k rpm the entire climb... yikes. Transmission temps would be crazy too. My Tacoma used to hit 235 f transmission tenpetature when towing 5000 lbs on flat land. That's not good.

Lots always have the last model truck on the used side. The local Toyota dealer has a couple of used 2016s now. Does that mean all 2016s are garbage? Of course not lol.

Anyways I'll let you go back to your 3rd Gen worship now. Better post an awesome pic on your profile too so we can see the most amazing truck ever made :D.

If you watch the vid engine temp was right in the middle and no tranny temp light. It blew the 2015 4.0 away which is suppose to be better, suppose to be according to this board. And 2015 was screaming too, you think max torque is at 1500 rpm?
You think a run like that damages an engine ? LOL.
There are ways to lower the tranny temp even more, you should have done that, its not that hard really.
Every time I come in here I hear about it can't do this, can't do that, it howls, it squeaks, it breaks down, it whistles, it leaks, it rusts, blah blah blah.
But every time I go to drive it, its trouble free and does it all.
    Case closed.

Temp transmission light doesn't come on until you've already fried the fluid lol. I'm surprised in your towing experience you don't know that lol.

Also the engine temp gauge is a dummy. It won't move from the center until the engine is over 225f.

I thought this thread was about 3rd Gen sales but clearly you've taken it personally and that's what makes most new 3rd Gen owners so fun to talk to.

I'm off to eat dinner, take my wife to a movie, and get laid. I suggest you go find something to do in a similar function rather than try to defend your controversial truck on the Internet lol.
