    good to know.

I have no problem spending the money to do it right. To me spending 3-4k doing it right the first time is much cheaper than doing it wrong then doing it again to do it right or doing it wrong and breaking something.

I'm more used to the $1500-2500 gets you a pretty good suspension setup for a car to lower it.
I'm stuck between the Icon stage 4 http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/ICON-Stage-4-Tacoma-Suspension-with-Tubular-UCAs_p_1432.html#
    Fox http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/UL-FOXTA05--Fox-Ultimate-suspension-for-05-Tacoma_p_1226.html

    or OME http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com...sion-Kit-Lift-Kit-For-2005-Tacoma_p_1609.html
Fine with some over kill too. I'm planning on heading to all the Provincial parks and some nationals for some trails. Some of which are rather remote so anything to help reduce the chances of having something underbuilt and breaking while I'm far out is better. Besides I plan on owning the truck for at least 10 years so I'm not afraid to spend the money and do it right.

I feel you I came from the car scene as well. If I were to do it again I'd go with an adjustable coil over. When u bought my lift I wasn't planning on getting a front bumper and winch.

ya I'm planning on bumper and winch too. girlfriend and I are basically planning on doing a bunch of overlanding across the province some of which will be solo trips so I'll definitely need self recovery.

Ya thats basically the point I'm at with my jetta. I've put more than $20k into the engine alone and now I'm at the point I no longer track and its just my daily and I'm scared to push it, with fear that if I let the turbo spool and hit full boost a piston or something will go. So ya don't plan on that again. Just leaving engine stock. I want something reliable not something I'm worried to drive far in because of mods lol. knock wood nothings actually gone wrong with my car yet besides a blown turbo. I luckily just did the timing belt and cams and caught the cams just in time. She's just gotta last till january/february when I get the tacoma haha.

My point is not that they are aggressive to you but the width and offset aren't aggressive to make 285's fit without issues. I'm not trying to bash your choice of wheels. Just stating the obvious facts...

I noticed zero difference in performance and fuel mileage. But they are much better off-road

I'm with you. I can't stand having the exact mods, especially visual, as the majority.
