Finished product of my paint day.


And I finally found time to install the Nikon scope and mounts on my 6.8 upper, once I get it sighted in and confirm the iron sights on the 30-30 (the gun the Nikon came off of) I'll have 3 rifles for deer season.

 

a friend of mine has one of these for sale I think he wants $350 for it.

 

I have now seen it all.

Mossberg MMR 30-30.

Kind of badass, in a weird way. I always thought it seemed like Mossberg created that model as a tongue-in-cheek take on the black rifle craze, and didn't know how to react when people actually started buying them.

 

Its really for the tacticool lovers...in an iconic caliber...30-30 I dont really care for the 30-30 tactical lol

 

The thing is it's not tacticool, it's more of an ugly duck maybe the closet ninjas will like it. Guess this goes with the old sayin "even ugly chicks should go to the dance too"

And I thought hi points were ugly!

 

It's ugly but imagine it suppressed with NV, run 190 or 230 Gr hand loads and it would be an epically quiet gun that hits hard and isn't effected by crazy restrictions because it's not semi auto or detachable mag fed.

 

How is a 30-30 quiet? Mine can heard in a week later.

 

Suppressed with subsonic rounds would be quiet.

 

Black rifle and zombie craze brought us that.

 

They just look so happy together.
Taking my 6.8 and 556 to a shoot for local gun owners tomorrow.

 

I'm not sure $350 would be enough of a payment for me to take that thing.

 

New grips today. Wish I could justify a real set, but even fake ivory really sets off a stainless gun.

 

I think I got my marlin fixed.
New stud is epoxied in, I don't think it's going anywhere.

 

That aught to work.
It don't gotta look pretty, just needs to be functional.

 

i know some will deteriorate if it gets wet unless its the marine epoxy. You probably wont get it in enough weather to bother it though.
