Yeah I tried not to spray directly on the MAF, but might have sprayed it for a half second when cleaned the front of the grille off. Oh well, I'm sure it was just a tiny zap and its fine.

Well new dyno #s 304hp/316tq with the water/meth and the 2.7 pulley going through the slush box auto. I need to play around with my mix of water/meth as 50/50 was to much water and is killing the low end. After 4500rpm is where is really picks up. Old #s were 281hp/286tq on the old 2.85pulley and no meth.
Oh the one pull I did with no meth was 292hp/ 297tq. So I think if I play around with the mix and the jet size 315/325 on the water/meth is do able through the auto.

You mean 292 whp and not 392*, yes? If not, take the damn meth kit off and run that bee-otch without. It's holding you back. Lol.

Overall, those are some good gains, and by your account it is clear how well the meth is helping. Did you happen to get a printout of the multiple graphs? To see all of the changes.

Also, I don't remember but do you have anything for tuning, or is it just the stock ecu?

I remember you have the Spec-U headers and Y-pipe. Which other mods do you have again, and where to they fall in line between this dyno and the last?

Success! I may have found the p0171 culprit. However I may need some help, I'm trying to figure out where these vacuum lines are supposed to go or be capped. I do have the 7th injector kit so I'm not sure if this changes the way these vacuum ends should be routed.

The guys that installed my s/c and URD kit may have overlooked these areas.

This line starts under the L piece but doesn't go anywhere, I put my finger at the end of the line with the engine running and its sucking in air. Where does it connect to or should it be capped?

To note, when I bought the s/c used this line was connected to where the blue arrow, or boost port is located.

Now the blue arrow I'm pointing to, or the boost port was never capped after it was installed and as seen in the pic I capped it myself days ago to still end up with p0171. If these are supposed to be connected or capped off each, or one or the other please say so. I do not have a boost gauge.

    image.jpg

Now this end here as I feared is often forgotten, checked it couple minutes ago and it was left open sucking in air. As pictured here I capped it off. This is by the throttle body. If I'm reading correctly this is supposed to go to the IAC check valve?

    image.jpg

Which is what the guys completely forgot to install - was left in the box. I'm a bit confused at reading step 2 in the supplemental instructions.

    image.jpg

    @Torspd @SCRunner12 @anthony250f @anybody ?
    Thanks.

First pic, goes to fuel pressure regulator.

Second, should have a tee, and go to the Fast Idle, as well as that check valve. If that make sure that check valve is facing the correct way.

The one right by the throttle body is not supposed to be capped. It runs to the throttle body. The one from the boost port runs to the FPR then your urd and boost gauge are t'd off that

Ok so the boost port that I have capped right now goes to the black FPR on the s/c? So in the first pic the line that comes from under the L piece goes where? Capped?

I'm reading that the check valve points towards the s/c. I'll get to this tomorrow morning but supposedly I need to cut a line down there to install this.

I just saw this post, but several months ago when I first got my supercharged '04 Tacoma, it threw a P0171 code at me.

I took it to the local Toyota dealership, they tried replacing my MAF sensor, spark plugs/wires, air/fuel sensor and my O2 sensors...nothing worked. They finally told me that they had given up and to take it elsewhere, so I took it back to the dealership I bought it from 4 hours away.

They had it for 2 days and couldn't figure out the culprit, bank 1 was running lean and not one of their techs could find a reason for it. Finally, they told me they were calling in a "master technician" the following day, and when he arrived he knew right away what it was. A vacuum leak on the supercharger. Apparently there's a valve on the back of it that is used for certain applications (EGR valve maybe? I can't remember for certain but I'm pretty sure that's what it was), and on my truck it was supposed to be capped and the cap had fallen off. They put a cap on it and the P0171 code disappeared.

Not sure if you've tried this yet or not, sounds like you've been troubleshooting it for awhile and may have it narrowed down. But in the 2 weeks I was seeing this code, everything I researched and learned about it revealed that it's almost always a vacuum leak somewhere...if not on the supercharger then perhaps maybe somewhere else. Second most common culprit is a dirty/bad MAF sensor, followed by faulty O2 sensors. Hope this helps.

I have a 10 page long thread on TW somewhere on my P0171 fiasco, I'm sure if you search for it it'll pop up...I can't tell you how frustrated I was trying to get that shit figured out, lol. Feel your pain.

I remember talking with you about that a while back and said at least you got those things replaced in the end.

I've only had this on for about a week and a half and I know this has to be it. The EGR port is already being used by the 7th injector. When I get on the throttle there's a hiss sound that you can hear so I know it has to be a vacuum leak and this proves it - for starters, the line circled in red was never plugged to anything so it's just a line sucking in air. 2nd, there are two ports that were never connected to anything! And 3rd I had a gut feeling they never installed the IAC one way check valve which is still in its bag unopened.

And reading this gives me the confidence that others had experienced this same issue in the past (when this part wasn't widely known)
    http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/959272/Re:_TRD_Supercharger_IAC_check.html

I had also been throwing a p0303 intermittently and recently a p0300 yesterday, however they have ceased to pop up again with the ultragauge. But everytime I start up I will always throw a p0171. The s/c acts like it's in limp mode and there's almost a hiccup when I really get on it. So I'm excited to get to this first thing tomorrow :fingerscrossed:

Oh and under no circumstances should I have used up a whole tank going from SA to Austin and back. So I really need a boost back in MPGs.

    Haha fixed my post.
Only change from the last dyno to this one was adding the 2.7 pulley and the water/meth. I have the print out someplace in my truck. I'm going back to the dyno again in the next few weeks to play around with the water/meth mix and jet size.
    So far mods are
    2.7 pulley
    AFE intake
    URD headers
    URD ypipe
    Gibson catback
    AEM water/meth kit
    Stock trd renflash.
Just waiting on a the next batch of Ucon ems so I can toss on some bigger injectors and e85 tune. Maybe even the 2.5 pulley.

Ok so now I'm confused. So having the grey charger is that any different regarding whether the port next to the throttle body is capped or not? Given my truck is an 03 - which you said connects to the vacuum throttle opener, that an 03 doesn't have.

I just want to be sure I'm gonna be routing this the correct way. Is the vacuum diagram that I pictured based on earlier year models?

Another honest question, am I reading on the diagram that the line that connects to the "fast idle" is the line that I'm supposed to cut to install the check valve? In which I have to tee from that to this port that I have currently capped?

From my understanding they are done. The 1st batch went to there 2009-2011 supercharger kits. This next batch will have a lot more and will sell just the Ucon.

Hopefully! I bugged Gadget a bunch about it, and even offered to Guinea pig and send any and all info he needed and this last time (maybe a few months ago) he said they got a 2015 donor truck in the shop for testing, so hopefully within the next few months they'll have stock for just UCON sales! I'm excited! More power is always fun!
