    It isn't just the shipping. I had to find a tube to protect it. That antenna is a 50 incher. problem is, nobody makes a 50" tube. Not only that, the shippers all want a lot of $ for shipping something that long. The $25 is a combo of packaging and shipping. $13 in tubes and $11 in shipping.

    I'll be interested to know what kind of shape it arrives in. I had to piece together two shorter tubes to make it work. Hopefully, my taping job held together. :oops:

    I am wondering if putting some shrink tube over the coiled section will interfere with the antenna's range? It might prevent what happened by smoothing out that area of the antenna so it can't catch on branches..

    I think this is odd...255/85r16s are more expensive than 255/80r17s. Same size, different rim.

    Most trucks run 17s anymore so I think 16s are not produced at a rate that drives the price down.

    Looks nice, is there enough time there to let it take root before it goes dormant for winter?

    Not really. Gutted cat. Guy was real honest. Manual everything base model. Drove great. Loud exhaust. Maintained well though. Kid before it did the shit paint job.
