@MstrYota is interested in maybe joining us tomorrow, he's 2wd Prerunner but has a 2" lift, good tires and a rear locker. I told him I think that most of it is probably doable with that setup except for a couple spots (that narrow, big rock climb on the backside of Rowher for one) but it's avoidable via the fire road that @uhplifted took to get around it last time. What do you guys think? Obviously going up Lookout would be out of the question but I think other than maybe needing a tug once or twice, he might be okay?

 

I also forgot to mention im going to be rolling with my friend whos gonna be driving a silly dodge if you guys dont mind him tagging along (his truck is 4wd)

 

@eon_blue a prerunner may have a real hard time getting up the backside of Rowher... and many of those rockier sections of Drinkwater. If he's fine with a bit more skinny pedal I don't mind. Won't be the first time we've had rescues on the trail

 

Also looks like the baja is sold, which I hope this guy follows through because we just were offered a SMOKING deal on a Yamaha yxz

Glamis and pismo will be much, much more fun

 

Ok so we've decided to do Gorman tomorrow. Maybe be able to hook up with you all next time

Sounds good, Gorman is fun...I did it last weekend with a few guys from the forum, a couple had Prerunners. Everything we did was very 2wd friendly, in fact it's mostly go-fast dirt road stuff with a lot of woops and ruts to test out fancy suspension on. Not so much my cup of tea (I prefer the '4lo and slow', technical-sort of wheeling) but it's very wide open out there and there's a lot to explore. Have fun! Catch you on a later run

I did forget about that first obstacle right at the entrance to Drinkwater, it's definitely a gatekeeper for sure...be hard to pull someone up that
