Pumps good, battery is good and it my inlaw's marina and their house is right there.

 

I bought parts today. More than I intended on, but fuck it.

Exactly. Although the diff is useless to me. I plan on selling that, if I can. And the other parts are things I may actually end up using. So I guess my only spares are the CVs.

 

cvs are definitely nice to have

 

Definitely. And these look to be in good shape. Guy said they have less than 2K on them. And he's nearly certain they are the new NAPAs with the lifetime warranty. So these alone, if bought new, are the bulk of what I paid for the whole lot.

 

Thanks. Ive got about 200-250 miles to drive before I can get her fixed. Hope she holds up.

 

Why not fix it yourself? My guess at a Toyota repair price is +/- $1,200.00

 

I don't know what im doing and I don't have the tools to do it... I wish I could do it myself but id definitely need assistance doing it

 

I didn't want to throw random numbers but that's is around what I was thinking.

 

Do some research and buy a socket set

 

Id also need a transmission jack.

What coil springs are holding up your front end?
What shocks did you get?

I did the tranny in my Ford with ratchets straps. And that was one heavy ass 6 speed.

 

I first need time off work which I don't ever get. With a 24 hour duty day every 3 days i get about a day and a half off... Combined in the last 3 months Ive had 8 days off and those days I actually got off work at 9am and had to be back at 0645 the next day. Id have to take leave in order to do it...

 

Try a good shop then. Ask around for a good tranny shop. They often do rear main seals while they have trannys out. Should be able to get it done for between $650-800

 

Ill have to dig a bit. Im just praying right now that my extended warranty is still in effect with Toyota. Ill find that out on Tuesday.

Worst case the GF just got her old mini cooper fixed with a new engine and was going to sell it but will let me borrow it if I needed it. I might take her up on the offer so I can take the truck apart and have it down for a few days.
