TRD Beadlock Wheels during order or aftermarket?

Is it ultimately cheaper to get the TRD beadlock wheels during the order (price reduction due to stock wheels delete?) or better off getting them aftermarket and selling the stocks to make up some costs?

Anyone get them during the order process?

 

It probably depends on what you can work out with the dealer on the cost of the wheels and install. If they won't budge on msrp, then it might be cheaper to look elsewhere for the wheels, and then sell the stock ones. I bought mine from my local dealer (didn't buy my Taco there), cause they gave me a decent deal on the wheels. Not the cheapest that I saw, but not having to pay for shipping equaled it out. I haven't tried to sell my stock wheels yet, but I'm sure i could get a nice chunck of change out of them. Love the wheels though!

 

Were you able to reuse the stock lugs and TPMS for the TRD Beadlock Wheels?

 

The stock TPMS will work assuming that your truck came with alloy wheels. If you have steelies I believe you will need new ones. The ones from my stock TRD Off Road wheels are the ones that were used in the beadlock wheels.

You will need new lug nuts though. The sock lugs are just a little too big to fit. So I bought the Toyota lugs that go specifically go with the TRD Beadlock wheels (PN: PTR27-34060)

My dealer wouldn't budge on MSRP really. I could get them at "their cost" which was still pricier than the deal @Unchained 5150 got via EBay. I paid $940 shipped I think for 4 with locks.

They have come down in price significantly since 2012 when I had to buy my first set at MSRP since they were still on VIN restriction.

The only advantage of doing it during the sale is rolling the cost if you didn't want to outlay the cash. Granted that's a very pricey way to do it.

When I bought my first Tacoma I tried to get them to hook me up with the Baja graphite beadlocks with 265/75 and I obviously confused the salesman because he went some BS line about TPMS being tire size specific, blah, blah.

My set of black ones are sitting in my cellar waiting for my stock tires to wear out so I can get another set of BFGs.
