I'm installing the sway bar relocation blocks and the stock bolts are too long. Here are pics with the factory bolt screwed in and hitting the frame. Anybody else have this problem? Looks like I need to run to the hardware store and buy some shorter bolts.

I believe the new bolts that came with the kit go through your mounts and into the block and the OEM bolts go back on the spacer into the frame.

Edit: I messaged someone from Toytec tonight and they confirmed what I stated above. Use your old bolts on the spacer to the frame and use the new bolts on the sway bar mount to the spacer.

The BOSS kit isn't 5100's. The Ultimate kit is 5100's. BOSS shocks are rebuildable. Toytec tests and tunes the kit vehicle-specific.

Has anyone experienced any unusual noises when turning at a moderate speed over a bump? I had the Toytec Boss Suspension kit installed shortly after I purchased my TRD Sport. I initially noticed a "grinding" noise when I made a right turn at one particular intersection EVERY time if I went at a moderate speed. Low speed was not a factor. Grinding is the best sound I can describe. PLEASE someone help me! I took back to my installer and they said everything looks tight. I called Toltec and they said there should not be any unusual noises. I have an appointment with Toyota in a week. Couple weeks ago, I noticed it now when I turn left. Toytec thought it could be related to ABS or Traction control???

I've seen reports of metal grinding sound near the radiator front body mounts (?) but I don't think this is the same sound.

PLEASE LISTEN TO ATTACHED AUDIO CLIP. YOU SHOULD HEAR THE 3 TURN SIGNALS AROUND 15 SEC INTO RECORDING THEN THE HORRIBLE GRINDING SOUND.

    Thank You!

I think it's the traction control. Had the same problem on my F-150 when I put 35s on it. I believe the larger tire tricks the traction control and forces it on. If there were a programmer for this truck you could just turn the traction control off and problem solved.

to me that doesn't sound like tire rub, or traction control. The traction control is a couple seconds of pulsing sound not like that. Wonder if they over tightened the lower shock bolt and when the suspension is cycling while turning its grinding the lower shock bushing? have you noticed any darker rub marks on the frame, fender liners, UCA? what size tires are you running anyways? and OEM UCA's or aftermarket? wheel spacers on OEM wheels?

    Thanks for input guys!
I have 18" Fuel Boost, no spacers. Nitto G2 275/65/18. I intentionally wanted to stay away from rubbing - I had a little of that with OEM wheels with Nittos so I know what that sounds like. I don't have a lot of knowledge about lifts but I can't appreciate any areas of rubbing. OEM UCAs.

    Just does not sound right

any rub marks or clean marks where the tire would be rubbing on anything around the bottom of the fender plastics, body mount areas, front of fenders near bumper, or the most outer part of the UCA? shoot some photos of the lower shock bushing area too if you don't mind

I was able to fit 285 with Toytec set up or even could have gone up to 295 if I wanted to. You may need aftermarket UCA with some good caster angle. It may also be your offset on your fuel wheels sitting too close.

I'll shoot some in the daylight, but once again I've heard rubbing sound before... this just does not sound like that. Were you able to hear the audio attachment? For some reason I have had a tough time sending that clip to Toytec - they said they can't hear a thing.

Those of you with the Boss Kit, what was your total cost for kit, install, rims and tires? I have a friend who does commercial vehicle sales and she works closely with a local off road shop. Was originally looking at rough country kit for $999, but quickly decided otherwise after seeing this kit.

She did get me a quote (using her discount) for the rough country kit, my choice of 17-18" rims, and BFG k02's all for $2400 installed. If my math is right, I can get the Boss 2.0 kit for right around $2650 installed with new rims and tires...

yeah i listened to it, but had to CRANK my volume way up to hear anything. To me it doesn't sound like rubbing, like i said earlier it sounds almost like the bushing is squeezed on the lower eyelet of the coil over or something
