That's awesome! The US has ruined my trust and faith in strangers, but I need to keep in mind for when I'm over here how different it is.
Been there done that :p my best friends parents do that every year so they have a car in Poland when they are there (they spend probably 3-5 months over there every year).

#2 all time fav is Hong Kong. sight seeing there is amazing. Expensive for what it is though. No real tips for that place except watch out for the Chinese mafia. Macau is a bad bad place

What's funny is I almost booked Macau earlier this year. I was between that/Hong Kong, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Oh yeah. I do have some tips:

Do not try the 1,000 year old egg. It's fuckin nasty. Trust me on this one

If you order a 1/2 chicken for dinner, you'll get exactly that. Imagine slicing a chicken in half with a band saw. 1/2 a head with 1/2 a beak, with one eyeball looking up at you. Tasted good. But weird to eat

Macau would probably be ok in a group if you had a guide to keep you out of the areas you shouldn't be in.

    I'm with ya.

If you're traveling alone, you'd be better off in South Africa. Rent the taxi guy. He doesn't walk around with you, but he'll keep you out of shit. Or just make friends with the locals ( Zippos ) and pal around with them for a while. Friendly people that like to party

Dustin. You can save a shit load of coin by traveling in the so called "off season"

Also, if you don't mind winging it. Don't book everything through an agent. Them fuckers get paid a lot.

That's definitely the way to do it. Most of the time, if I go anywhere I won't plan shit. I'll have some ideas in mind of what I want to do but for the most part I wing the whole thing when I get there
