Can you do a closeup pic of the brackets/conduit hangers?

Got an email today saying it was going to be delayed to 10/11, then got a shipping notification a few hours later & it tracks to be delivered 9/7.

Sucks for those who cancelled their order

Originally got an email that it would be here on the 2nd. Than got an email that it was delayed until the Oct. 11th than got an email that it was already on its way. I'll wait and see. But this is screwy none the less. Regardless, I'll be getting an ARB awning that I would have ordered eventually. Just in a round about fashion.

Mounted up the awning with some brackets I made for about $7 at Home Depot.. I picked up a set of 4in galvanized steel L brackets that look like this:
    20160902_200854_zpsmefhm9fq_8a760eb947d557bdc984bfcea03f4c11f1643b91.jpg
I had to mark and drill a new hole so they would line up with the Awning slots. After drilling it looked like this:
    20160902_200916_zpso7lnjnro_a03ffca5203221566b4f2f3363d873a38974ca0b.jpg

I then cut the excess steel off with a Dremel and some pliers. I didn't have to do this but i figured why not:

Finally I mounted it up to the truck and it looks great.. The mounts are super sturdy and I was able to utilize all 3 L brackets.

I also clear my rear door by about a 1/4 inch

Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
Do you think your door would hit if your flexed out at all?

Starting to look as all these mounts, I'm still unsure if this can be mounted on the 2016 OEM bars.
I have the brackets @Jeremy M. posted. I'm trying to visualize how to make it work....

Got my awning yesterday and guy rope set & sand pegs today. I spend a lot of time on the beach here so the sand Pegs made sense to me...

No I don't think so.. Theres a pretty decent amount of room between the awning and my door but i'll keep that in mind the next time i take the truck out

if you did something similar to mine, just with longer L brackets i think it could be done.. you'd either have to drill a hole through your cross bars or find really sturdy hose clamps

If you have a Prinsu Rack things just got better. He just made bracket for awnings. I'll need to add it to my order now...LOL!
