Well that was a pleasant evening at the speedway. More to follow.... Maybe? Heading to the after party. Dehydrated. Up since 5:15am.

Same goes for Stewart wrecking Scott on the front stretch like he did. Childish move.

Just gonna repost this right here since everybody wants Tony's head on a plate (again). Had Dale Earnhardt Sr./ done that to a rookie (he probably did somewhere along the way), it would've been called a Rite of Passage or a rookie not showing respect for a champion. Brian Scott took his licks and wasn't too much of a sourpuss about it (though he has been in the past).
Question: What achievements merited Brian Scott's ascent into Cup racing? Who are his main sponsors & are they family related?
I'm no Tony support (he's a heck of a racer, I'll admit) but geez I've heard some angry armchair quarterbacking today. Meanwhile, everyone was cheering at the track because frankly, last night was a snoozer of a Southern 500.

TV might not have shown much passing, but 13th back was sick most of the night. The night lacked Darlington Stripes and guys leaning on each other out of the turns. Ryan Newman was just knocking 'em down all night. He started in 39th and passed his way up to 17th before making some strategy calls to take the lead. That guy can make a car as wide as I-285.

What Tony did was just completely unnecessary, Scott was letting lead lap cars pass him. At least Dale would've admitted to wrecking him on purpose, Tony said he "got loose" and didn't mean to. I'm not calling for his head as drivers will police themselves, I just thought it was stupid to do that to a low budget team, rookie, not on lead lap minding his own and then lying about it.

I watched a video replay and it looked blatant on Tony's part. I don't know how many times the #44 was shown on the TV screen, but he was a rolling chicane all night long, especially in turn 2, where it's all about GIVE at Darlington. Ryan Blaney wasn't giving much in that turn either. AJ tried to dump him once but he had an amazing powerslide through the turn. Next time around AJ wrecked himself trying to make the same move.
I'll stand by my point that Brian Scott has no business in a Cup car, besides Daddy's money, but that's the same argument for 10/10 drivers in the modern racing era.

How did y'all feel about Bowyer giving Almirola the Widow's Hook into turn two? That was the nastiest lick of the night, and equally blatant.

That was bowyer salty about Almirola getting loose under him and putting him in the wall. Nothing new.

bowyer sucks, I don't know why he gets tony's ride.... give it to Ty Dillon, he can race better than bowyer... yeah, most of the wrecks and almost wrecks were a shit show of dump everyone you hate. honestly, not many unintentional incidents this weekend. Most of the intentional wrecks were from drivers who weren't goin to win anyway. no excuse for these guys this weekend.

But for real, Bowyer used to be a very consistent top 10 driver. The teams he has been driving for the last 3-4 years all have been bad, so what's gonna be hard for him is breaking all his bad habits over driving shitty equipment when he gets the 14 car. Once he acclimates he will be a top 10-12 driver again.
