I jsut asked and he said stock lens, SD card, and battery. Sounds like basically everything it came with stock.

 

There should be a battery charger in there too.

 

Not a bad deal, great camera to learn on. And Nex time you can just keep the lenses and accessories and buy a body when you decide to upgrade. That's the cool part

 

I'm a bit behind, but you could take a stock taco down lockhart without much of an issue. Igor would cruise right through IMO.

The Chuck Wells ratings are ballpark at best, and anything rated difficult could be anywhere from challenging for a stock rig to extreme. Trail damage is the best resource for CO and UT trails:

Yea and just work truck. She needs something to move random things and get gardening stuff. She hates driving the minivan around town. But ever since I put a bed rack on Frank, and then my dad did, and then I out on on Igor, she doesn't have a normal truck anymore.

Got it for 3700. Would be 100% perfect if it had AC.

Kool. I've never been to the Needles district.

 

Don't get me wrong, it's an incredible road, but I wouldn't call it difficult.

Edit: Lockhart - Elephant Hill - Beef Basin: still one of the best loops I've done. Pre-RT15 Lockhart Basin Loop > RT15

 

Do you have the GPS coordinates for that campsite? Or better yet, want to lead us to that spot? @Squeaky Penguin

 

No. I like my paper maps, so no GPS coordinates. I could find it on google earth if you really wanted, but you can't miss. I'm no more than 10 yards from the road in that picture.

I'm always down for a Utah adventure, keep me updated.

Thanks for the tips. How rugged do you thing it is? I am 100% new to cameras but is it going to to survive in a light case in a back pack for hiking or in the back seat of the truck?

Working my way thru truck issues. GM alt is in and aside from a belt squeak, is working great. Replaced the tail light bulb too. New ham antenna, radiator and Uniden CB will be here next week

Just tighten the belt tension a bit more if it squeaks. I know it sucks to do but still.

I had more trouble after you left us. I suspect the finals are giving up on mine. It has seen a lot of abuse over the past 6 seasons. Besides, they are cheap at $42.

More rugged than you'd expect for something that has so many moving tiny parts. It should be fine if you get a simple holster style case. I let my previous rebel ride in the truck all the time, and it's fine.

This is a holster type case, they are compact and if you don't have many lenses can be very convenient...
