Yeah, I drove the Golden Road and Greenville Road a couple years ago and service is basically gone once you get too far away from Millinocket. Oddly enough, I had spotty service through my entire hike over Kathahdin and that is incredibly remote.

 

Happy Labor Day to all you soaking up a day off--I've been working ("ha") since 0530

 

I've fallen into a bad group...

 

Tomorrow at 4am.. Return flight has been finalized thankfully. I won't be gone for long - I'll be back for the 24th yota run.

Haha we found a much more fun part of the RI spot than the first time we went. @DoubleRGirl showed me that rocky hill you guys climbed when she rode in @mach1man001 truck.

So.. Did you want me to buy those mirrors or you keep wanting me to spend money on everything else? Haha

 

Scratch that.. Didnt make the cut for the 24th yota event. I'll hit up the next one and head to Rhode Island that weekend.

 

Jason, let me know if your still going when you get back. I'm dying to get back out on some runs and wouldn't mind heading off to wheel in RI, those spots looked fun!

Just got home from camping. We hurried to pack up and get out before the rain, got home and it's nice and sunny! It looked crappy when we left though.

 

Sounds good! I need to figure out a way to track where I wind up exploring, might be time to buy a hiking GPS unit....

 

Thats a good call... yeah I wanted to mark location for the Henniker trail but forgot cause we were running so late, would love to revisit with all the fall foliage

 

You mean the rock climb is the fun part, or another spot?

 

Did you guys go up that spot? Buy the mirrors don't buy the mirrors doesn't matter to me. I don't work on commission

Don't count yourself out of that. People are always cutting out of those things. Put yourself on the backup list. Even if it were full I would still tell you to go because usually 1 or 2 people don't go even if they don't cancel ahead of time.

Backcountry Navigator on Android works awesome. I'm sure there's similar programs on crapple. No need to buy a hiking gos, just download the maps and any routes/waypoints beforehand, put phone in airplane mode.and turn.gps back on. Bam, hiking gps

 

Hanging at the inlaws place in Ojunkquit. I may wash my FJ later, maybe. Usually i let mother nature take care of it for me.

Family time at 2pm... haven't seen them for over say.. 5 weeks (I wonder why haha).
Then home to pack and prep for my trip.

Staining some decking in my pool area and watching 6 kids.....more staining than watching I guess now that I think about it. I'll watch them while I make lunch and go back to staining when the wife gets home

 

Guys, I have a feeling we might get a nice little group going here Jason (mr. groupleader), should you post up in the NE wheelin' thread and see who else we can snag?
