That does look nice, I iust don't like the V Series ARE that don't cover the side rails on the bed.

I thought they do. Are you talking about the rails inside the bed?

They don't cover the bed rails on the outside. The cx and z series fully cover the bed rails on the outside.

No lift—completely stock. Perhaps the studded snow tires on 16" wheels make it look bigger... I certainly feel like I am driving a badder looking truck in the winter.

I could only imagine how hard it is to find a used shell on an island, and for a new 2016 model on top of that. Looks good on your truck and you got to get the options you wanted instead of settling for something you didn't want or need.

Then just look at the CX or Z. ARE is one of the best on the east coast.

Correct, from the weight of the camper.

AAL or new leaf pack. You have an 06 do you qualify for the TSB for the rear leafs?

I went with Dakar leafs when I did my suspension. My measurements from center hub to fender are only 3/16" less with my shell on.

^ 2x that. Unfortunately he already missed the date on the new lead pack if he didn't try already. But who knows if you haven't tried for the new OEM leaf pack go and see if you qualify.

I went with all pro exp leaf pack. Dakar are good too. If you do and you don't plain on loading much in the back, you will be safe with taking one of the over load leafs out. If you go with a company like All Pro get their progressive pack for a smoother ride, it will still carry the wait. Or you could get a custom set by ALCON or ATLAS. They will custom make you a leaf pack to what height you want and how much you carry in the back. That is what I'm about to do sometime next year.

I got a pro comp add-a-leaf almost a year before I got my shell, so I never noticed any difference in the ride hight. After reading this glad I already had it in place.

I did get the TSB done. Was really hoping that would fix most my problems but it didn't do much at all other than gave me a little nicer ride while still looking the same. I really only need about 1-1.5" lift in the rear. So iv been looking at 1" blocks, 1.5" single aal and the wheelers progressive 3 leaf pack progressive aal. To me it seems I would only need the blocks or single aal to fix my problem. Just a little scared the single aal with be a rough ride. Then the common problem with blocks worries me as well. Although I haven't read much problems with a 1" it's usually the 2-3" that people have problems with. Then the 3 leaf progressive aal are probably overkill for what I'm needing and are also double the price. Here's how my truck sits now.

I have had no issues with my single add-a-leaf. In fact the ride quality got better, just my opinion, but it seems to have removed the wheel hop I used to get on a hard take off on pavement, like trying to get into traffic. Rides much more planted now. I would recommend the single add-a-leaf.

I just recently bought a shell(with rack and ARB awning) for my newly acquired '08 Access Cab. As soon as the shell went on, the rear end went down. Was measuring about an inch lower fender-to-hub in the rear than the front was sitting.

I installed the Wheeler's 3-leaf AAL this weekend to remedy the situation, went ahead and put a 1/2" spacer on the driver side to correct taco lean too. I haven't taken exact measurements of the new height, but I'd say its sitting level or maybe a tad higher than the front, but I fully expect that to settle some, and there's no cargo in the bed. Wanted to leave the factory overload leaves in, but the retaining brackets on the AAL overlapped with the location of the factory retaining brackets. I didn't want to cut either of them off, so I just left the overloads out.

I'd definitely recommend the progressive AAL, I think with a shell and any sort of cargo you'll wish you had got it. My truck rides a lot more smoothly now as well.

Progressive Add a leafs actually DECREASE payload capacity. I don't think the increased height will last too long. When I talked to Icon, they confirmed this, and recommended a new leaf pack.
