Steep price but considering the durability factor and time spent derping and re-derping over the years of exposure to elements.... well spent money IMO.
How much do we make at work per hour... thanks for post OP

I did find it funny though " blacking out your Tacoma is the hot new trend...." lol ... yeah sureeeee

I was going to buy some black door emblems off eBay.. But then I just pulled off my emblems and wrinkle blacked wrinkle blacked them myself and stick them back on... It was a very easy DIY mod

Looks good! are the emblems hard to pull off without damaging? What did you use to stick the emblems back on. I may go this route, much cheaper

Thanks man! And it was easy to pull off... I just used my Gfs blow dryer and heater up the emblems and then ran some fishing string down the back to loosen up the enhesive and pull off the emblem.. Then once I painted the emblem I just went to the local ACE hardware and bought some 3m double sided enhesive tape and cut strips out to match the back of the emblem. Then you just stick it back on

Awesome!! Thanks for the info! The mods never seem to end. I'll do this mod and get the Pro grill (when released) and I'm done!!! Well, until something else sparks my attention, lol.

It depends.. I think on different colors it looks good with out any badges... but on other colors it gives a nice break up in the color..

Idk man... I've seen people do a lot more "ricer" things with there trucks than painting a door emblem haha but hey to each his own I guess lol

Ordered mine. Just wanted ease of covering and retaining original underneath. Sparks is the cheapest though it sounds like up to 6 week backorder.

The ease would be nice, but I only need 3 pieces. No way I'm paying that for 3 pieces!! I'll try the painting first, lol!

Well, after pulling the emblems off and cleaning up the residue, I believe I like the "cleaner" look of no emblems. I'm surprised myself! I painted the emblems black and are on standby if I change my mind..

ugh. just took my wife out earlier to show her what I had planned next. I was going to take off the v6 badge and maybe dip the "Tacoma". She definitely didn't like the idea of taking the v6 off. Who knew there was a perfect compromise for the low, low price of $100? Little expensive but I need these! Just bought the inserts from @rrentop . Hopefully I can get my wife to compromise on these too:fingerscrossed:

You able to take anymore pictures of these? I'm interested but afraid not having the holes in the lettering for the paint to show through will look goofy.

Why not give Plasti-Dip a try. $6 a can, one can of Matte Black will easily do all the badges. Best part you don't remove the badges. YouTube has a dozens of vids, difficulty scale is a 1 at most. Simple simple simple. An hour and your done.

Some guys after six coats or so of Plasti-Dip, the more the better incase you ever want to peel it off, then they use a regular spray paint, any color you want, on top of the Plasti-Dip. And you can still peel it off at a later date if you get tired of it with zero effect/damage to the paint.

Plus the Plasti-Dip protects your paint underneath from nicks/chips. Not as strong as a clear bra/3M film but still protects and lasts for years. Three or four years later if it needs a touch up just re-do one or two coats.
