So few years ago I got rid of my 2008 DC TRD Offroad 4WD because my wife would always get car sick in it from the roll and sway going around corner. Now 2 years later I'm really regretting getting rid of that truck and wondering how I may be able to convince my wife that we can get another Taco.

Is there a reason we may have felt so much roll in our Taco? Is there a way to reduce it via a different package like the TRD Sport or basic SR5. The next one I will get will be Prerunner...either way I want to reduce the sway.

I hardly have any roll with a Full OME 3" lift with Dakars. In fact I took the sway bar off and still doesn't have much.

Interesting, I wonder if the model year has anything to do with it? What pkg do you have on yours?

Got rid of my sway bar because it was hitting my coils. It was sketchy at first but got used to it. I ended up getting the relocation kit from ToyTec and I haven't had the issue since. This is coming from an AWD vehicle and I thought the Tacoma handled just as well, if not better. Maybe it's time for a new wife.

Huh, that's odd. You shouldn't have had that much sway. Maybe your suspension was just tired? When my truck had stock suspension it seemed pretty stable, and still is now with a full lift on it.

One of the best handling trucks I've ever driven.

If I understand correctly, the ORs have a slightly softer suspension than the other models. As long as you don't get an OR you may be fine?

Was your suspension stock or modified?

    If modified, in what way?

I bought it used from CarMax with 55k miles on it. I'm not sure what the previous owner hauled with it...seems like 55k is pretty early for new suspension.

IF the suspension is in proper working order, everything connected; and the tires are proper size, rating and inflation, the answer could be over driving the truck.

I bought the SR5 because I knew I was tearing it out when I bought it. Stock lasted 2 months.

Hmm...Overdriving...possibly haha although when she was in the car I tried to drive more cautious...although I felt like I was driving like my grandma.

If it was to the point where she only got sick in your truck and not other cars, then it was definitely something wrong with your suspension. Look into the new TRD Sports.
