Why can't hunters stay the trail? Can't tell you how many rigs I saw parked "wherever" this past weekend..

I "dusted" the inside of the wheeling rig with the air gun (and there was a lot of dust), and dislodged something behind the dash. Blew it out and it was a 2004 Colorado State Parks window sticker, which pre-dates my ownership.

Now, if I could just dislodge a $1,000 bill...

So I got 1 to pop out. The other three are burned out pretty well but still has the outer sleeve. I'm guessing a hacksaw is best but do you have any other tricks?

So took the truck up the mountains after the lift ....it felt different when climbing with 200lbs in the bed. From what I have read in the past from this forum is different gearing...?

I take it you added taller/larger tires as part of your lift? Then yes, a change in gearing would make up for the tire size difference, if you can't live with the current performance.

If you do the Argo Mill tour, you'll get a bag of concentrate to pan which is guaranteed to have a few gold flakes in it.

Hell, I think my Garrett gold pan kit came with a bag as well. I carry pans in the wheeling rig, but haven't struck it rich... yet.

I was just thankful no parts fell off down I-70. I looked behind my rear view I saw some sparks, freaked me out. Coming to find out it was Semi starting to catch fire perhaps from the air brakes....phew!

A couple years ago, there was an event held there called (something like) gold miner's days. You got a mine tour, a bag with a good 10+ flakes of gold to pan, panning lessons, a hot dog lunch, and probably more that I'm forgetting. It was supposed to become annual; haven't made note whether or not it happened.

EDIT: And at that time, the Everett Tunnel wasn't open to the public. A mine remediation group, who had a display at that event, was scheduled to investigate its current state to decide if it could be opened. Was the Everett Tunnel open? **Found the answer: Yes, it is: http://georgetownlooprr.com/mine-tour
