Looking to get into something newer, really, is my primary motivation. The Tacoma's going to be 7 soon. The F150 was kind of an accidental discovery, to be honest, since I've never really been a Ford guy. But I'm impressed with the F150 right now and not with the 3rd gen Tacoma. Add to that the fact that I don't really offroad anymore (and if I do the '84's a much better choice anyway) and the F150 is more appealing to me.
    Shameful though that is.

Yeah, it's sharp. Bitch is getting a leveling kit to pick that nose up a little bit if I get it, though.

I can't wait to see it but I don't have high hopes. The Wrangler is only rated to tow 3,500 lbs. If that carries over to the pickup, it'll be disappointing. Plus, after going back to a full size, I doubt I'll step back down to a smaller truck. I love having the room, especially with 2 little ones.
No sweat, 5100s. I'm surprised the front end sits so low on that truck with the engine being so light. I'm also curious how it handles in the winter. Not much weight in the front.

Yup--not because he was attractive... damn tractor trailer came whipping across to the lane we were in from one of the left hand toll booths he jammed his brakes I attempted same but road surface was too slippery. It was weird how his rear bumper was so bashed and I showed nothing plus my truck sits a lot higher so I really should've hit his tail gate--my shocks need a recharge I think. I'm sure insurance is going to f**k me even though he's willing to say 50:50 responsibility because of Mr. 18 wheeler being such an ass

Yeah, me too. But, not having a heavy nose might be helpful, really, since I don't drive around in 4x4. Better weight distribution, maybe. Although that aluminum body might throw that back off in the other direction.

Yeah, but I'm kind of bummed. I like the way the G3 Tacoma looks better than the F150, but not how it drove. :notsure:

If I was gonna go fullsize I'd be hard pressed to not go F150. For the domestics I'd go Dodge before buying another GM shitheap.

well i belive that its going to be suspiciously ram related. i think they will fix the towing bit, im more worried about how reliable it will be. but with everyone having the 16 problems if im going to buy a lemon may as well be able to pull off the top when the AC goes.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I don't understand how having a couple of little kids makes someone out grow a double cab Tacoma. IF I was in the market for a full size truck it would be more for towing ability than for size. I would look at a Tundra 1st and a Ford 2nd

I like the Tundra for the power and noise it makes, but honestly I don't tow that much and when I do it's almost never over 5000lbs. So I don't need a full-stonk v8 that gets 16mpg's on a good day. :notsure:

    You're welcome :D
Definitely didn't outgrow a double cab, the double cab Tacoma has enough room for 2 little ones but, it's a hell of a lot easier to manage with the extra room of a full size. Add in a 90 lb dog and having the extra floor space so he can travel comfortably is nice. It'd just be tough for me to give all that up. The prices for the mid size trucks is creeping up on the full size as well. The full size fuel economy isn't far off from what the current mid-sized trucks offer and the capacities are generally higher. I basically ran out of reasons to buy a mid-size (obviously that's not the case for all, when I lived in Quincy, there was no way I wanted a full size truck). I'd be hard pressed to go smaller, personally.

So will I, not planning to change anything either but if I had to I think that's where I would look is all. GM screwed me so badly on my 06 Colorado I'd never buy from them again and we all know the issues with Dodge. I can't see dropping the kind of money for a Tundra

That's just it, if I needed the power and towing is when I'd have to. No kids for me.

Quincy, nuff said. Not unless you never had to parallel park or park in a T garage and had your own driveway.
