    So the GF and I were camping on Moosehead lake this weekend and we were crunching the numbers on how much water was missing from the lake because it's about a foot down from the regular level right now (which is about average for August/September) and it worked out to 24.5 Billion gallons.

    75,451 acres, at 43,650 square feet per acre works out to 3,293,436,150 cubic feet of water missing.
    At 7.48 gallons per cubic foot, that works out to 24,634,902,402
    Taking out random volume for rocks, etc we averaged it to a guess of around 24,500,000,000
