I feel bad posting this because you see someone making the same post every three days. How ever you almost need to post your taco stickers on tacoma world because of how good it looks. I swear a good portion of why I want a 16 so bad was for the tail gate. after looking at this photo I either got to debage or plasti dip the badges.

Just makes it look better. It's just a big, awkward piece of plastic that was used to cover up a small piece of the frame and the belly pan, from what I can tell. Truck looks taller and better without it IMO.

I took my Tacoma in for the 5,000 mile maintenance to Jones Toyota in Bel Air today, and when I complained about the transmission delay when shifting from R to D I was told 'Oh that's b/c it's a CVT' and the service advisor then went on about how his Honda has a CVT and does the same thing. I questioned that the transmission was a CVT and he stuck by his story. You have to be F'n kidding me. I'm considering just doing my own maintenance from here on out.

Does anyone have a dealer recommendation in Maryland north of Baltimore?

It's not in Maryland, but the dealership in Hanover, PA is absolutely excellent. Ask for Jason if you go up to use their service department.

Just installed Squadron-R Sport Amber wide cornering Plug-N-Play Amber fog lights.
Install was super easy, didn't have to remove or loosen anything. The OEM fog lights
are held in place with two tabs and a single screw each. there is ample room in the
opening beside the top of the radiator housing to remove the light fixture after a
single Phillips head screw (on the outboard side of the fixture) is removed. The P&P
harness is very easy to assemble and disassemble if necessary, When I fired my lights
up the first time, the drivers side lights did not come on. After double checking the
tightness of all connections, I disassembled the P&P harness and reversed the wires -
WAHLA, Shazam! both lights work. The sun is still high in the sky and you have seen
this install many times before. GREAT lights at a GREAT price. If interested, give Bailey
a call. He put black Squadron Pro face plates on my Sport lights at no extra charge.

Russell Toyota on RT 40 in Ellicott City. Took mine there and at first they said there was no TSB. I said uh yeah but there is and handed the lady the paperwork. She looked at the screen again "ah, there it is!" yeah, no shit lol. Anyway, they did the service and I'm happy I had it done.

I understand that Toyota sells quite a few different models, but someone who works in the service department should at least know some basics about all of the models. None of the Toyota trucks use the CVT... Actually, do any trucks use the CVT? I doubt it as they really can't handle that much torque.

The air damn is more than just to hide the frame. It's a huge part of the aerodynamics of the truck. With that said, it's also hideous and removing it is worth any loss in economy.
