Well that's my thought going into the Tacoma. 6500lbs towing is plenty for me. The new full size are good for fuel mileage but are super complicated (twin turbo's) to get. No thanks I'll pass
Well my dog definitely doesn't weigh anywhere near 90 lbs and if he did I would have to take him to the vet's STAT! Lol. I personally never had big cars and I wouldn't want to have to drive one of those behemoths on a daily basis. The roads I travel everyday are narrow and parking those things is a bitch. Again I could see having one if the need for the towing arose but as of right now I can't see any reason for it.

Lol, I agree that I'm hesitant about the twin turbo deal. But, I've never kept a vehicle for 5 years straight before in my life, so I'll probably end up selling/trading again before the powertrain warranty runs out. So minimal risk there, I suppose.

I dunno. My biggest gripe about the G3 Tacoma was how it felt while I was driving it. Not thrashy, that's the wrong word. Buzzy's not quite right either. It reminded me of my '96 Cherokee; you can feel the drivetrain feedback while you're driving. Like when it switched to Atkinson cycle you could feel it in the truck. It'd probably bug me on a trip. I'm the crazy guy that notices the little rattles/wiggles when you're driving and is bobbing around in his seat trying to place them.

That is weird. Maybe try another one just to make sure it wasn't just that one truck

I had to park on the street most of the time I lived there. When I moved there, I came from the south and had a big ole Chevy 1500 (loved that truck). I went to the Tacoma because it was smaller, much easier to get around town and park. Towards the end of my residence there, I actually got off street parking.
I'm still naturally aspirated :D Truth be told though, I think I'd give the Ecoboost a shot for my next truck if it's another F-150.
Do you know who makes the engines for the Ranger in other countries?

I hate parking on street anywhere there, especially with the horrific clusterfk the Quincy Center reno is. Had to play a summer match there and fortunately was able to park across from the courthouse.

I'd probably stay NA, only because I try to drive my vehicles for a long time after paying them off

Problem is that it'll be priced like the Colorado, which means you're looking at a $40k midsize truck, lol.

No clue, I was hoping you knew!

That price tag is my biggest deterrent of a diesel Colorado. That said, it's getting tougher to find a full size 4wd crew cab under $40k these days also...

I thought Ford built them in-house at their overseas plants?

Could be. On a related note, that new 2017 Super Duty is pretty damn impressive (on paper anyways). 925 ft-lbs of oil burning awesomeness! :jerkoff:

Lies, I consistently get 17 mpg. I love my Tundra. I found that the domestics were more expensive when I was looking. The dealer I went also gave me 15k for my 2008 with almost 90k on it so that helps.

Also, why does that ford have a part number sticker on the chrome bumper? Might be something worth looking in to if you are going to buy it.

The Ram 3500HD is just as stupid on the torque numbers, with 900ft/lbs.
The tow ratings that the new HD trucks are rated for are just crazy. To even take advantage of what they can tow you've got to go out and get a damned CDL, lol.

    My mistake.
What sticker? There wasn't one on there when I looked at it yesterday. :notsure:

About 20 yrs ago my old boss wanted the Ram diesel. He had a landscaping business so he would use it every day for that purpose of moving stuff, and his boat. Plus at least he'd have enough warranty to deal with issues.
