Woooooooohooooo!!! Fixed my thermometer/compass and it only took 10 minutes with stuff I already had!

Pulled the overhead console and removed the compass assembly to find both 510 resistors separated from the circuit board on one side (not sure how that happens)

But anyways, I soldered those bad boys back into place and viola! Working compass and thermometer!

Note my stellar gas mileage that I achieved on my drive home from the mountains.

FWIW I used an angle grinder to cut my fenders out to fit 315s, worked wonders. I'd be careful with the jigsaw

I've heard that cut off wheels get too hot and will bubble the paint

Perhaps. I never had that problem. I could just see as the blades dull, that jigsaw starting to catch and pull more and becoming less and less predictable.

With the grinder/cutoff wheel, I did a little at a time, managing blade heat, and the best part was I was able to just use the grinding side of the wheel and edge around my wells and make the cut smoother.

Yeah man I'm down. What part of town are you in?

It's not that big of a deal. I took a big ol' rip of whiskey, cranked up the cowboys from hell album, and just went at it. Came out nicely. Still need to cut my plastic fenders and get those back on, been running flare-less since 1July2016.

Cool, I don't have plans this weekend yet - but that's subject to change.
@3378jakesr5 and I were tossing around the idea of running a trail sometime during the weekend. I'm off all day friday as well, if you're around

Nah. I'm pretty square, anti-fun, and definitely nothing close to the word cool.

    Sorry, bud.

Friday night is when I have get togethers at the house. We drink beer, BBQ and sit by the fire pit. So if we wanna do the fender trim Friday afternoon you can hang out for BBQ and beer when we're done

@Gramps can I borrow your little fender measuring tool? And also, what did you use to cut your fenders? I think I asked before but I can't remember what you said

Better to ask what I have not done.
A ruler or tape measure is what most people would use to measure things.
