New to the forum and just purchased my first Taco. 2016 Magnetic Gray TRD Sport pretty well equipped with only 300 miles. Got it for 31k OTD after 3 days of battling the dealer. Think I got a great deal but they did get my 2009 supercharged Challenger SRT8 on trade in. :( Anyway, glad to be here and loving the truck so far. Added a Truxedo Lo Pro QT cover and some Raptor bars so far.

Long time reader, first time poster. I now have 3k miles on my 3rd gen MGM ORSB. Love it! Mods thus far include, tinted front windows, Extang solid fold 2.0, debadged, black vinyl lettering for tailgate, and predator steps. Next up....Ko2's and something about that ugly chrome grille. Pics to come, if I can figure out how to upload them here.

For those who have removed the vinyl, what are you using to remove the adhesive? I have tried some goo gone and wd-40 to no avail, but am open to any and all suggestions.

    THANK YOU!

    GooGone works.

Wet a rage with the GooGone, apply generously and wait a little while, 30 mins or so. After the GooGone has had a chance to work into the adhesive apply some more GooGone to the rag and rub it in hard. It will come off.

Finally! 5100's to .85 (yes I know it's a pic of the rear). Was worried about having "bro stance" due to weight of shell and my tools in bed but she sits nice and pretty daaarn close to level. Ride has improved for sure I'm really diggin em. OME BP-51 down the road?! :bananadance:

Here is when I first picked up the 23' Jayco hybrid a few weeks ago. Weighs 4200 lbs and I didn't even know I was towing it until I looked in my mirrors.

Today- Picked up the truck from alignment after installing the 5100s and hitched up the camper for our first family trial run close to home. Wifey didn't really want to rough it with a RTT with our 1 and 4 year old daughters so we are spoiling them instead. I plan on having them pay me rent by 10 years old

I took mine off a couple days ago after posting in this thread and mine came off with no residue left on the truck.

It looks much cleaner without the vinyl IMHO.

Nice truck + trailer. If you don't mind, post your towing impressions here. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/gen-3-towing-thread.413026/

Thanks. Bilsteins at .85 are riding great! Much better ride all together for sure. Had them on my 3g runner and my 2nd 1g Taco as well.. Here is a pic of my 1st 1g before I had kids with a much bigger set up (Kings, TC, Deaver leaf pack, Allpro rear bumper, Tuffy boxes w outlet and lots of other goodies. That was a hard day to see that thing go) :(

Damn that sounds like it was a sweet setup, I've heard good things about the 5100s on road but not much off-road, have you had the chance to try em out on washboard roads?

Not on this truck yet but I have on my 1g as well as some trail riding in China Lake when out there for work and I was very impressed. Obviously better things out there but I am more than okay with keeping my 5100's for a very long time and using them for anything.

But for the price it sounds like a really good upgrade from stock!

Flowmaster dual exhaust, Cali raised front bumper grill LED light bar, Bak industries X2 Tonneau cover, Full HID head lights and fogs, LED's throughout inside and outside of truck, OEM roof rack, OEM side steps, bed extender...
Put on the TRD Pro skid plate today and have a few questions that have me worried. Put it on and have 11 bolts that didn't go back on from original cheap skid plate...4 large ones got replaced with new skid plate and two small black ones as well which left me with 5 bolts that just stay off?
