Not sure yet...the distance between the outer edge of the door and the trim on the window isn't much. I'm afraid it might look weird. I may tack a piece up there and see what it looks like.

So , spent the last 3 hours sharpening my hammered out everyday chisels

Note to self , next time you look at your chisels and say "holy crap , I really need to sharpen these" , just go ahead and do it and not wait until the "I wonder if it would be easier to just throw these away and buy new ones" stage

I have, but that doesn't mean I want to share my experience LOL. :anonymous:
I used a dremel with cutoff wheel. Worked okay but not anything that I would now call me an expert.
Might be better to throw it out and buy a new one.

I'm sure you searched YouTube. It looks pretty damn involved and a few specialty files. Obviously the shape and point are key to its function. A good shapening will be well worth it

We have not had a measurable precipitation event since mid-April, and that was only 0.24".

This is the 2nd drought year in a row too , real bad El Nino and a patch of warm ocean water known as The Blob

We're in a drought too. We only average 11" of precipitation p/year, so losing any bit of it hurts.
