    The antenna I got with mine, I'd definitely recommend. Just run it through the back window, or slam it in the door. The door seal has more than enough give to not hurt it.

    Antennas are what really make a CB good. There is nothing wrong with that model and it is pretty well rated review wise.

    Your best bet is just to get a magnetic antenna you can put on the roof when you need it and run the wire through the window and connect it to the handheld unit. Be pretty easy to swap between the T4R and your Tacoma that way and will get you much better range.

    Mine hasn't got in yet. Just shopping for things Id need to install it. I bought a 4 inch hole saw but from the instructions on their cut sheet they are asking for a metric conversation to 4 1/8. Just wondering if a 4 inch would work. I ordered the butyl tape on Amazon. It should be here in a couple of days. @northwesttaco . There should be enough to do 2 trucks with what I ordered. I have fender clips somewhere in the garage. @twalchlii1 any tips on how not to install it?

    4" saw has about 1/4" slop room. Get a small child to put in the top nut. ( mine will never be on ) Measure 16 times before you drill the stupid bracket holes in the A pillar. Silicone will stick to truck, but not snorkel. Use butyl or urethane. Grab fender liner and rip it out then cut off clips. Fuck using a dremal on the inside bracket, aviation snips, done in 15 seconds. I used the template, then checked 5x, drilled the big hole, then put the studs in, lined it up, hit it a few times to get the studs to dimple the fender, all fit perfect! Beer.
