So my alternator failed and after dinking around with a broken bolt the trucks ready for the new one. Only problem is no one around here has one for the four cylinder. Trucks a 2011 2.7 5 spd. Has air conditioning and four by four. Question is, will any of the alternators from the v6 models work?

No they will not work. Get one designed to fit your motor.

That's the plan, but you never know, until now. I need to get to texas today or I'm out of a job. The place I ordered the correct one through sat on their hands yesterday and didn't place the order because they thought they'd be dealing with the broken bolt. I can't get them to admit it, but I know that's what happened.

Like he said, they are different totally. The OEM part number for your 2.7 alternator is 27060-75490.
    Should be an 80A

Just hoping. Good thing the rental car I booked yesterday is good to go. Just don't like leaving my truck here for two weeks.

Autozone thought they did, but it was different. Called everywhere here in town. Nobody has one.

Had this same problem with @armyofsquirrels truck. He had to get the alternator from Toyota. Another thing you can do is see if anyone in that area rebuilds alternators.

I'm already gone truck is in rock springs toyota parking lot with instructions not to touch unless they need to move it. The alternator will be there tomorrow. I've already missed two days of work over this. Can't miss another. Hoping I still have a job tomorrow morning.
