Really? Is that due to the drought? I thought it rained more frequently there.

Makes no sense considering most of the praries were nearly flooded out this year.

..even so, salt water is abundant and should be used where it can to save regular drinking water, such as ice hockey rinks for example.

That's crazy. We've been getting all your weather this summer. Eff'n rain won't go away. I keep telling people that we somehow slipped Central Alberta out to the West Coast.

How was your time in the woods?
One of life's simple but greatest pleasures. My homes in the BC interior always had wood stoves. Now I have to be at my cottage for that. So far my insurance rates have kept me from installing one at home.
Water levels were high here most of the summer. All of that water came in intense downpours. It was a hot humid summer and I swear for most of the days ended with a thunderstorm and the rest of the days the thunder came in the middle of the night.

    It's time for hockey

Jets named Blake Wheeler captain today. The A's went to Byfuglien and Scheiffle.

    No surprises there.

I like Myers, and agree that he would easily be deserving.

Well after this local guy pissed away what he had, literally, with his brah Heatley I can't say I have much respect for him but I'd still like to see him earn it back.

    http://www.thehockeynews.com/news/a...m-rock-bottom-to-earn-another-shot-at-the-nhl

Finally he admits he was a partying booze hound without even an E for effort well before he got to Minnesota let alone Calgary, which is basically buried mid paragraph in one line in the entire article. I knew he was going to be down and out soon when that photo came out of him and Heatley looking deadbeat grabbing breakfast sandwiches one morning together. Funny how alcoholics never mention incidents like that though.

The guy was an idiot while he was in Winnipeg. After being let go from the team for "Personal Reasons", he was regularly spotted sitting across the street from the MTS centre at the Bar/Casino getting juiced. Really Devon? Talk about rock bottom. The guy was so completely useless when in a Jets uniform it is comical.
