Randy's Ring and Pinion are good people to deal with. Bought an install kit for mine last year and was very pleased with their selection and customer service. There is also East Coast Gear Supply if you are looking for a pre-assembled rear end. They also stock ring and pinions.\

EDIT: FWIW, if you haven't done a gear setup before and do not have someone who is experienced and well versed in gear setups, I would not attempt the install. You have to be sure you have the backlash set perfectly, and a contact pattern on the ring gear or you will have premature failure of your ring and pinion.

Warranty canceled? You are way too passive. I'd be raising hell at the dealership. It is after all a 6 year/60,000 mile warranty. You'd think a 4x4 could handle a speed bump. Their commercial says it can handle the Loch Ness Monster!

05/06's had a bad batch of ring gears...too soft of metal or something...

I'd take it to a dealer and have it warrantied.

The prob is... I bought this truck from my aunt, and she didnt know that she had the Warranty... I could have transferred it to me but it had to be with 90 day... and I just found out about the warranty... so it gets voided

IIRC the standard warranty is 3 year 36k. anything beyond that was a purchased extended warranty. he is below the standard warr miles, but his truck is 5 years old now.
unless i missed the part where his aunt bought an extended warranty...
went through the same BS when i bought my srt. old owner bought the 7 year 70k warr, year later... 38k on the odo i was SOL. had 30 days to transfer...no one ever told me.

wish you the best of luck bud

I think that the powertrain warranty is 5 years/60,000 miles. Call the dealer....all then can do is say no. If there were a bunch of failures on the early models they should take care of you. The factory powertrain warranty doesn't have to be transfered...it stays with the vehicle.
