    It's all crazy expensive. My cousin and his wife took their three kids and spent over $1000 on a one day visit. Crazy.
    Admission, lunch and dinner in the park, plus souvenirs for the kids.

    Well, for the 5 of them they were looking at nearly $500 just to get through the doors. Then figure $100+ per meal and probably around $100+ per kid in souvenirs, even though it was cheap-to-make stuff like shirts, hats, and mugs.

    I too went to Disneyland in the late 80's. I remember small world and the teacups. That's it. I was probably 8 or 9. I don't know how much it cost but there were 5 of us; 2 adults and 3 kids. I was the oldest child and I don't remember squat about it. I think at that age, it becomes more fun for the parent from a reactionary standpoint; seeing kids really happy and excited. If I ever have kids, I won't take them to those particular parks until their at an age where they can appreciate it themselves and have solid memories. Plus I'll have more equity in my home for the loan I'll need to go.

    The only reason I'd go to Disney is for epcot, but I imagine drinks are at least $15 if a coke is $10, so I guess I wouldn't go there :laugh:
