Save yourself a lot if Grief, get a Portaband saw instead. Chop saws are messy as hell, and the accuracy doesn't last long. Even a $200 4x6 band saw from HF wouldn't be a bad purchase, not quite as portable. Mine is 10-11years old works well.
Swag Off-road makes a few different saw tables for Portaband saws as well

I'd love to have a band saw too, but for small projects the price isn't ideal $150 table + $300 saw.

Having both a portable band saw and a full size, as tall as me, bandsaw in the shop, I use the portable one for almost everything. A bench vise and a little bit of setup gets me as good of cuts, sometimes better in my opinion than the big guy.

I know that's not the comparison being made, but the point is those portable bandsaws are very versatile tools that can do good work

Now that I know it exists I would go with the Portable one and the table to mount the portable one to. But the Chop saw fits the bill better (see what I did there, $ == bill)

There are times I wish I had bought a Portaband over the bigger saw, but never regret not replacing the chop saw. Messy, sparks, blades break easy, and after several cuts the accuracy just wasn't there, edge clean up was a lot more time consuming too.
Mostly I miss the plasma cutter I had, but that's a way different discussion.

image.jpg Today is a very sad day. My dad called me this morning to tell me that my dog has passed away from some sickness that he couldn't get her to the vet in time for. That dog was my whole world and kept me going when I didn't want to. She was a sweet and loving dog who loved food more than just about anything. So please just keep me in your thoughts it's been a rough couple of weeks battling mono and sinus infections and now this. You guys are the best mean that.
