Me too! :D I just use a brush I got at the local auto supply store, it is short enough I guess to get under it. Though standing in the bed helps with that, once I get the shell and TopRac on there, that'll be a bit more difficult. No way would I take off the cross bars each time, that's way to much effort for my lazy ass!

    Thanks, man.

Also, what size carriage bolts are people using for the Plano install? I need to buy a bag of those.

Gotta wash that cab though. Being short and ignoring washing the cab as well as the minimum twice a year wax is gonna eat that clear coat and paint straight away over the years.

I don't ignore the roof... I wash it as thoroughly as I wash the rest of my truck. When that happens is another story though! :D

I like my white just cause it hardly shows. I do need to spray off the bugs on the front since it's been on quite a few long road trips now this past month. Don't think I've had bird shit on it in a while, I try not to park under trees for the most part.

    PS. Yes I did

    Not enough...
    Gents with RTTs,

I will be picking up a used RTT from a local member this afternoon. It's a CVT Mt. Shasta. Any tips on mounting it to the rack? I have a rack on the cab and on the Leer 100XQ shell. My shell did not come with rails, so I installed my own, so I am a little iffy about attaching a 150lb tent to the shell rack, but that location is most desirable for me. I would like to have the tent ladder and the annex in the back of the truck vs. the side, so I could keep the tailgate open.

Any tips? Suggestions? Am I overthinking this?

you'll be fine. might just be a tight squeeze to get the hardware all mounted between shell and bottom of RTT.

I have some 1/2" under the shell rack. I remember reading somewhere that @zscott mentioned that shell rack should sit lower than the cab rack if you use an RTT? Should I remove the spacers?

The cabrac and toprac should sit nearly flush out of the box. Minor differences may occur depending on the shell and the tracks used but shouldnt be anything major. There shouldn't be a need for spacers on the toprac.

As far as mounting a RTT on the toprac over the shell, I have never seen any issues with it. Mine was there for 2 years until I got a trailer and never had an issue with it.

The hardware for the tent can be tight under the toprac but I was able to do it just fine even when I tried to do a low profile toprac. I am going to be releasing a new bracket though to mount tents that will make things a bit easier.

Placed an order for one today. Anyone have an idea of what the lead time is?

I ordered the powder coat version with anodized cross bars with a 30" light bar cutout in the wind deflector.
