    Not the same size...

I finished cobbling this together today. GMade R1 cage, SCX skid/tranny/driveshafts, Wraith axles, ae-5 ESC, Traxxas 550 motor, Wheelie King shocks, Yeti pull off wheels/tires, HR Wraith links, cheap HPI servo, and an HPI Tx/Rx. Some bought used, most in my parts bin, but the cage was bought new. Right at $200 invested and all electronics supposedly water proof.

Man, I'm having a rough go lately. My big E-revo snapped the rear driveshaft after landing from a jump (the Traxxas aftermarket metal ones) and then this weekend the ESC started acting up on the Arrma. They said to send it in and it could possibly be replaced under warranty. Guess if I want to run R/Cs, I'm gonna be using the mini-Revo for awhile.

Barbwire boat was a blast this weekend! first 3 batteries were successes. ran it through some rapids while out kayaking. being deeper V, with fewer weight distributing and tuning options than my 30'' revolt, the turning takes some getting used to, but it handled very well overall.

though I did place the boat in the water upside down to test the self righting feature (it works well), I never actually needed it as a result of driving the boat. as many times as it flipped, spun, and submarined under rapids, it never ended up on its lid.

I need to waterproof the hatch a little better, but it is looking like it will be a great boat for the beach next week!

I took my Bomber, the conglomeration I posted above, and a similar one to above but using narrow scx axles and soft suspension out to a drainage runoff for a baseball park. They poured concrete in the ditch and then threw big stones into it to break up the water flow. I'll get a pic later of it, but I was disappointed. Both with the ar60 axles were garbage for crawling on the Bomber and the one above. They hang up on almost everything while the narrow axles just walk all over it. My next project is figuring out how to take the short shafts on both sets of the ar60s and making a narrow set. Then I'll take the long sides and make a wide set to play around with in the yard.

I took it out today and it was good time until I couldn't take the heat anymore.

Found this little crawly spot at a baseball park on the edge of town.

It had a slightly more difficult time on the loose rocks. The foams are too soft and kept wanting to walk under the cracks. I've got another set just for this but haven't put them in yet.

There was a smaller drain that was about right for my Losi Micro

It is massive! Weighs 20 pounds. I'll have to get a picture of it next to my wraith later tonight. Was a very unexpected gift.

Just a little bit. Seems pretty stable and plenty of power. Body needed some modification right away as the screws that hold the quick release pulled through the lexan. Put some steel washers on it for now, but will probably replace with nylon. Has no problem going through tall pasture grass and drives right over obstacles. Will get it out for a bit longer this weekend.
