@Blackdawg, I'm guessing that I'll need to change my speedo gear now that I'm on 35s and 5.29s. Beyond that, I'm somewhat clueless. Did you run into this, and do you have any insight you could share? Thanks!

By the way, you weren't kidding about 35s being a very, very deep rabbit hole...

Ask @BDN he has done it and it's in his build somewhere.

@BDN you should sticky it in your build so people can find it easier

(unless it already is because I haven't checked it yet)

I didn't bother as the gear change won't be enough to correct it. So I don't know anything about it really.

It's about 10mph off though at highway speeds and 5 ish off below 45.

    Lol yea major rabbit hole.

I haven't done 35's or 5.29's, but here is what little info I have on swapping out speedo gears.
If @Blackdawg says there is a 10mph difference with that combo, I'd prolly go straight to the 33 tooth.

Get an ultra gauge I Use it as my speedo. Cheap and works great for other gauges and such.

Having both the speedo and the odometer off by such a large margin would drive me crazy when a new speedo gear is like $15 from Toyota and takes 5 minutes to change.

Speaking of which, I have a 28 tooth speedo gear, which works perfect for 4.10s and 33s, I'll send for free to anyone that wants it.

Really easy once you take apart the dash. That's not too hard, just time consuming
    Should be fine.

One of the clock wires should only be hot with the key on.

I thought that area was not removable? like the whole key-area trim piece comes out including that, but not the little square ish part only. It does have a factory hookup in the back for the clock that went/goes there though I think. Just get out the dremel and make it work. And why is that blue light gonna stay on when truck is keyed off? Wire it to an Acc. only fuse and you shouldn't have to worry
