Morning All. Is he smiling at you in the second picture Carl? With winter on it's way, a bear skin rug, a roaring fire in the fire place and an ice cold sarsaparilla. Would make my day .
Was upstate for the weekend and went to the neighbors corn roast on Saturday. Went back on Sunday to help finish off some more corn. Ate so much corn, I don't even want to look at an ear for awhile but it was sooo good. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

 

Morning all:
That sucker was back last night and the neighbors garbage is spread all over the place.

Ken, looks like those guys know how to make corn, I remember going to a church picnic years ago where the corn was made under wet burlap and it was delicious!

 

Yup it sure was delicious. Now I'm waiting for the cider Mill to start pressing to get some good cider (they start up the end of Sept.) No preservatives and not even pasteurized.

Fresh cider is good, worms and all!

 

A little protein is always Good .

 

Me too, different place though. They'll have fresh juice through March of next year, then they have to start freezing it.

Hurricane Darby missed us, and the wedding went off without a drop of rain...

 

Mqqse is around, just not very much. He usually pops in for a minute and then is off again. Forgot he sold his taco... hope he comes back

I miss mqqse as well. He needs to stop in from time to time and say Hi to us oldsters. Tacoma or not, he is always welcome on the porch

 

Hey, where is everybody? I've been sitting on the porch all by myself...

No hurricanes in sight at the moment, but we're sure getting a lot of rain. Normally during the summer, the dry side of the island is brown. The whole island is GREEN. so much so that the gubment can't keep up with the grass cutting on the roadsides. Shit, I almost lost my dog in some weeds.
