Good to hear nobody was seriously injured. Hopefully insurance takes care of everyone's needs and that lessons are learned....it happens.

Glad that both of you are ok, or that you are ok and hoping that the other driver is ok as well. Have you looked at the dash cam footage?

The other driver gave a thumbs up when I asked the witnesses if she was OK. She was fitted with a collar and moved to a spine board, then taken by ambulance, so I don't know the nature of her injuries, but it looked positive for her considering the state of her car.

I have viewed the dash cam footage a few times now, and will be taking a copy to the police this morning. If I can edit the 450mb file to something more reasonable, I'll share when I can. I won't be immediate though, you all will ha e to be patient. Lots on my plate right now, and sore this morning.

I always wonder how people can "Not See" another vehicle the size of a Tacoma before turning right out in front of it...

While there is a certain amount of natural curiosity regarding what the footage looks like my question was more directed at your reaction when you viewed the footage. Everything happens so fast it is unusual to be able to replay what happened accurately. Ones memory in these situations often does not quite conform to reality. I would imagine it is a bit surreal to see the recording of the accident. Again, glad everyone is OK. Take the time you need to heal.

I am sorry to hear but... I am really confused by what I see here. You say that she turned left in front of you, yet, all of the impact is on the right side of her car. Was this a double hit situation where once she hit you she spun around for more damage with another contact time during the collision?

*Edit: It actually looks like she turned from your left and you clipped/ t-boned her.

Before I watched the video I jotted down notes from my memory, watching it again wasn't far off my memory with regards to me and the other vehicle, but being able to see all the fine details and confirm that I had no way whatsoever of avoiding the crash is a positive. My heart races and I shake every time I see it though.

There was an ambulance on site within 45 seconds as it was transporting a patient and was a distant witness best I can tell from the footage, good for the girl in the other car.

@Climberclimb, yup, corner of the "A" and the "B" north of Enderby.

Yup, she was oncoming, and turned to her left across my lane. I spun 180 after impact, the witness behind me said my rear bumper was about 8' in the air.
