Ok guys I need some help.

As you may know I have a 1983 single cab pickup, one of my dream vehicles. It needs a bunch of work to get it back on the road, which I don't have the time or the money to do right now.

A friend of mine has a Crown Vic. interceptor he is willing to do a straight trade for my truck. I wouldn't mind having that to drive back and forth to work in.

I'm torn between keeping the truck (having to let it sit for probably another year or two due to the house building) and trading for the Crown Vic..

But what if I could drive the car for a little while, sell it, and maybe find another 80's model in a little better shape

I know. I'm torn. The hardest part is wanting to build this truck and having to let it sit. I won't be able to do anything to it for a couple years honestly because of the house project. So it just sits there.......staring at me.

I could probably sell the Crown Vic. for $3-5000, which is right in the range of a running early 80's model single cab in decent shape. I have never been one to trade around for things, but this could work out. I would really like something else to drive back and forth to work other than my Tacoma right now. I also have the Jeep in the driveway that needs to be fixed up (don't even try to talk me out of that, I WILL NOT sell that thing).

He is also Toyota truck fan. He has had several. He has a rebuilt 22r sitting at his shop he can drop in and go. You would have to know this guy......one of a kind. The horse shoe up his ass must be very uncomfortable. He likes to trade around stuff and he likes the one I have.

Here is an example of what I mean about this guy.

He just traded a motorcycle he had for a 1990 access cab, 5 speed MT,4x4, 190,xxx miles, everything works. Fresh rebuilt motor, brand new 33" tires, leather interior, truck is in great shape.......and the guy gave him $500

If I really didn't like it, I'm pretty confident I could sell it quick around here. There is a certain market for them (in so many words)
