So i want to add some 5100's to my 09 4x4 AC. I had the rear TSB done and want to level it out.

Dealer told me they charge $103.00 per hour, and it would take 2 hours.

Also told me that i'd need an alignment...is this true?

That would mean I'd be in $200 for labor, and $100 for the alignment.
    $300 total...

anyone else out there get a better deal? Do i really need an alignment?

my local 4x4 shop quoted me $35 to do front shock install. you must be getting 4 shocks installed but still $200 seems high.

Alignment from any other shop would probably cost you $50. Find someone near your area to help with the install.

You should have had done it during the TSB. I had the dealer install the 5100 during the TSB fix and they did it for free. Have you checked with a non dealer shop?

Yes, you will need an alignment

Install them your self, it is very easy.

    A few bolts are different.
thats a RIP. with air tools and the wall mount spring compressor they would have, the job could be done in a little over an hour on the front for 5100's only. thats not including the alignment

Maine! anyone want to help! I'll buy the beer!

Just checked a local 4x4 shop...they want 160 for the install and 130 for the alignment....a little cheaper than the stealership...but still sounds high....

$160 is about right for the install I guess but that alignment price is WAY to high!

Go to a tire shop to do the alignment should be around $40-$50. Or get the lifetime alignment from Firestone like I did for $120; I get my truck aligned every six months.
