There's one section where you come to a wash and it drops off kind of steep, maybe a foot and a half. I did go into 4wd and turned on my locker for good measure. If you have a shovel, you can no doubt make that easily passable. I just used 4wd because #racetruck

Madison and I saw someone off in the distance crusing a dirt road while on our way back from Vegas. We were sitting in traffic looking for ANY hole in the fence along the freeway to cut off and hit the dirt but we couldn't find an entrance

 

When was this? Might have been me!

 

August 7th i believe. I can't remember what it was but it may have been a 3rd gen actually haha. @YotaGurlIAm do your remember what it was?

 

The entrance at stateline is out the back of the parking lot of Whiskey Pete's. If you look there on google maps and zoom in you can find it. I believe that it's the second dirt road to the left. I just mapped it out on my phone in advance and saved the locations for the entrance, exit, and midway checkpoints. I'll try to figure out how to save and share a map.

Part of the road literally disappears on the map, but on the ground it just keeps on going. As long as you stay between the rows of powerlines, you're good.

 

Is it very busy/popular? Have you ever run into anyone else on it?

No, definitely wasn't me.

It's a lot of fun though. GF got a little creeped out in the dark though, so aim for an earlier start time if that's a concern.

Not at all. This last time, I saw a Tacoma(stock) sitting off a ways from the road right at the start of it. But out on the road you see plenty of tire tracks, just haven't actually ran into anyone.

We're down for a weekend trip. Stay at state line, cruise to Vegas to see a show or something. Rooms are cheap at state line.
