Hey folks, Just want some opinions on the new trd pro tacoma. I've been inquiring about one at my local dealers and they want 56k . I think that was pretty fuckin high for a mid sized truck no matter how awesome. I can get a chevy 1500 ltz z71 for that kind of price. Just wondering if the dealership is marking it way up or is that just the price?!

You could get a pretty bad ass Ford Raptor.. but yeah.. that is extremely high, I would look around the forums in third gen and see what everyone else is seeing around them. Is it possible for you to drive across the border if you have to?

Yeah, Canada prices are more than in the US, so I can't advise there. I'm sure some others from Canada will reply soon to help out.

Click the search icon, type in TRD Pro, check the box for this forum only. Lots of threads on the Pro with lots of good info. The best thing to do for price is go to Toyota web site, build your pro, there will be some limitations due to how the site is desinged, and that will give you a good idea of what to expect to pay.

This is from toyota canada web site.

Okay lady's and gents. The dealer wants 53'000 canadian dollars for the tacoma trd pro. I really like the truck but I'm still not sure if I can justify spending that kinda coin on a "midsized" truck. I know the trd off road if an option but I refuse to get a truck that isn't a 4 door. Been there done that, I need a back seat. Any thoughts? Maybe wait a year till the price maybe comes down?

You can get a backseat in a TRD Offroad... and the price will not drastically drop YOY as the Pro is a specialty model. If it's worth the coin to you buy it. If not... dont. They're all expensive.

Unfortunately in canada the trd off road is only offered in access cab.

Only difference is lockers badges grille blavked out lights and a 2" lift...

Buy a dclb sport add a locker lift it a couple inches!! Boom whack done. Just saved 12k maybe more. I went from a trd offroad to a sport. And for the price difference made more sense. Unless they now offer a trd offroad in double cab up here in canada! 9months ago u could only get the access cab.

Sport comes in both also, for alot cheaper! More money for mods to make your own trd pro! I dont want to step on any toes.

Comes down to what the (op) wants. Who are we to argue about his needs/wants.

I do not see it as an option. Please correct me if im wrong. Depends if op wants long box/short box. Standard vs auto... I miss my standard but here in canada in order to get a back seat for the skiing buddies with a long box u need a auto. If shortbox doesnt matter then the world is your oyster!
