If anyone is selling a canopy, or side steps, or a front bumper, and last but not least a roof rack... Let me know! Thanks everyone!

Yes. You know where long lake is - just past the island lake campground on the beartooth highway? The north end of the Morrison is just across the road from long lake. The south end is accessed from Clark, WY

Cool. Just watched the Expedition Offroad video on it, looks awesome, they struggled but mainly was because they had a trailer to whip around all those switchbacks. Not sure if I'd want to attempt it this late in the summer/early fall due to the ever rapidly changing weather.

Yeah, might see a little snow up there. They closed and reopened the beartooth last weekend due to snow. You guys could always go in the north end, look around a bit and then go north again. I'm sure it's more tore up than I remember (local club had done some maintenance on it right before) but there were only a couple tricky areas in the north half.
And the XO guys are overdramatic morons....taking a newbie and making him drive the trailer....stupid.

Oh please. You've never done it. If you haven't driven the switch backs you can't say you've done it :luvya:

No snow that low yet. You'd be fine. Would not ever do it alone though. If you're a manual you better be damn good at hill starts.

Otherwise it's not that hard with a short wheelbase truck. I've done it twice and the first time was nice with three 1st gen Tacomas going up the switchbacks.

    Was fun and chill.

Mike posted the link to the second time I did it. Bit different that go around. But still fun.

I live 30 mins from it so let me know if you do it and I can help point you there and recuse you if needed :p

Lisa hasn't done it? I heard she did...on mountain bike.

That was quite a trip you guys had that day. Unbelievable scenery though, I want to do it so bad. I actually just texted my friends saying I'd probably want to do this but only if we had someone with us who's been before. So problem solved right, you're joining us and leading us up?!

Haha I may be able too. Depending on timing.

She has driven all of it other then the switchbacks. Which is the real gutsy part haha

It's a hoot. Adrenaline flows just about the whole time going up those things. Fun though. Gorgeous up top.

Cool, well we will be in SW Montana the 17th, planning on working our way down through YNP and into the Tetons, then back up through YNP and then the Beartooths if you're around...probably make it up there later that week.

Actually, in the heat of the moment, it wasn't that scary. It wasn't until afterwards, with everyone yelling at me, telling me how scary it looked, that really started me thinking about the consequences. Then seeing the pictures, holy shit...

My advice is do the trail, its a blast and the views are unbelievable. But stay away from the soft edges. They are like quicksand. They will suck you right in.

Went up South Meadow Creek Trail to the lake on labor day though. Need more federal holidays...
