buying new wheels and tires soon and wondering if it is really necessary to get tpms sensors installed still and if not what are the repercussions, if any at all? Also, what have some of you other guys done once getting new wheels and tires?

    thanks

^Yep. And losing the ability for your truck to tell you when a tire is low.

Swap the sensor on the old wheels to the new ones.

Then you might as well get the new sensors transferred over. Hardly costs anything.

As long as you don't have steelies they should swap. I swapped mine from my 16s to my 17s.

Yep! That's exactly it. It looks like this and is inside the wheel. It can be transferred with a "rebuild" kit that any tire shop should have

Mine were included at 4wheelparts, but I also bought my tires from them and let them align it. They'd probably swap them for you for like 4 bucks per tire
