Exactly. You're not going to break anything at the RI spot, and not on an easy run up in NH either. Look around the forum at people who off road frequently and you'll see very little being broken. Your truck will be fine almost indefinitely on what are basically fire roads with a few rocks here and there.

You guys should sign up for a run with Scott (Jeep Crawl on ENH) if you want to do some moderate/hard trails.

You can also chalk that up to the way the AP tcase "skid" attaches

Wait that damage was from the skid mount? I'm looking into rear diff skids right now and contemplating making my own.

Thats his tcase. IMO rear diff skids are unnecessary. The diff is freaking.beefy. You could.get one of the ones that welds to the back of the pumpkin where it's thinner, but no need for one.underneath.

The AP tcase skid mounts directly to the tcase, so if you buy the skid the tcase still takes the whole impact as opposed to ither vendors whos tcase skids bridge between the frame rails.

^^^ What Seth said. Don't bother with the diff skid. Even built up rigs don't run them because they are very thick on the bottom anyways.

IF your to do anything have the diaper one welded to the bottom and a shield welded to the back

I have nothing on the bottom of my diff and tube welded on the rear of it. I'll snap a pic when I get home from work.
Even with my Tacoma I dragged the diff over many rocks with no issues. Spend your money on something useful like lockers :)

    Went from this.

    To this

All-Pro doesn't even sell them anymore, plus I took the truck somewhere it probably shouldn't have been, but I'm a dumb ass!

He's got a real skid like in your 2nd picture anyways, so he's all set for that. TG

BTW Denis, I see you air line for your ARB locker!

Ah okay that makes more sense. I was looking at photos of the rear diff this morning, I think I could make a shield for the rear cover which everyone says is the weakest point. It wouldn't be a weld on one just a simple clamp mount one similar to the normal currently available lower diff shields.

Off to work now... 2mile walk..

Is the ENH Fall crawl Sept 24th, or Oct 24th? I should be able to do Sept 24th.
