grabbed some quick pics from the garage. I can get better ones tomorrow with the daylight. Didn't realize how dirty it was under there after the last few offroad adventures

This looks like a pretty generic kit. I believe it could be mounted on any of the 2nd gen Taco's also.

nah, it's just the silicone that they used when they mounted it. It's dirty. I wondered that myself shortly after I bought the truck.

 

My Limited doesn't have it. But, now I'm interested. Okay...who's ordering and doing the full write-up?

 

I just ordered it. Since I am in Hawaii it won't get here until the middle of next week. Once I get it I can do write up.

I put puddle lights flush mounted in my door. Check the build thread and if you're interested PM me and I can explain how to do it

 

Those are really nice, but I'm looking for the ones that light up as I approach the truck, like these do. Our Lexus has them under the door handles and it's really cool at night.

 

I'm in for results....seeing as I burned up an ecu being a Dumbass when I tried tapping the wrong circuits for puddle lights.

 

@squint0241 has them on a 2nd gen. He's had some issues with the lights themselves, but it looks cool.

Looks like the same one.

Should get here Saturday. Might not install them because i am planning on running different lights. I already fabricated brackets for another set of lights using the factory running boards mounting locations. I'm also planning to have led strips under the rocker panel just above the sliders. Maybe too much lights.

 

Bro...a few of our local guys here ran led strips along the sliders by the pinch welds, but had issues with them holding up to the weather/rain. Strips peeling off. Lights going bad, etc. Better to use a sealed led that's more water proof for long term results.

 

The led strip is the extra one. The main one are the rock lights underneath.
