Don't sweat it. It was standard procedure for us to board anyone in an accident if we even had the slightest suspicion there might be a spinal injury. Looking at the other car, yeah, I would have boarded the pt in a heartbeat. I'm sure she's okay. Most are, but first responders can't make that determination on a scene.

Yeah I've always wondered that too...I mean I have good vision but terrible depth perception and in almost 20 years of driving I've never "not seen" an oncoming vehicle. My bad depth perception makes it harder for me to determine speed of oncoming objects so I'm conservative and always leave extra room or extra time.

Well, when your updating your Facebook profile, it's pretty tough to see beyond the screen. Priorities man. Smartphone first, other people's lives second.

Dude that sucks. Glad to see you are well however.

I too think the truck is done. Best of luck finding the right replacement.

I went and collected my belongings from inside the truck today, started an insurance claim, dropped off a copy of dash cam footage with the Police and insurance, and visited my doctor. Took a picture of the worst corner that took the brunt of the hit - the pictures I took at the scene didn't show much in comparison - cab floor is buckled enough the seats won't slide, frame badly bent up front, and bent diamond based on the huge gap box to cab on the passenger's side. My hidden winch mount is also bent, not sure about the condition of my trusty Warn M8000. Still feeling in shock, and have almost zero short term memory today. Feeling lucky to walk away, or be alive for that matter. And sad about truck - she did me well and I plan on another DCSB manual at this point and time.

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
That was a hell of an impact! Always makes me smile to see that the Tacoma driver almost always walks away after an accident. Glad you're not too screwed up! Thanks for sharing pictures, and I'll be waiting for dash cam video too!

I hope you're wrong in this case, but
I see drivers texting often and it infuriates me, because this sort of thing or worse is the end result.
