Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
Hey man i see u wanna convert to 4x4; did u take the front drive shaft into consideration when rerouting ur exhaust for ur turbo? Also for a lift if the best bang for ur buck has to be 5100 with eibac coils up front and lift shackles in the back since ur 1st gen. I helped a buddy do that to his 04 dc and it wound up just a touch nose high with the 2" shackle in the rear (he didnt replace the rear shocks either) but i think he got everything for right at $400

I was looking into fox and Bilstein. Good to know the Billy's aren't as adjustable. I see Fox and Icon on here all the time used, but I never see Kings. I'm guessin there pretty good? I'll have to look into the ADS coils.

Woa that's a good price...And the exhaust won't interfere with front drive shaft thankfully. Before I do any lift of any kind I need to figure out my leaf spring situation. They sag super bad to the point of being half an inch lower than the front. So I either need to get lift leafs or new OEMs.

Oh yeah the shackles wont help the sag but they are only like $50 and it rides just like factory. The eibach coils on the 1st gen gives right at 3" i think they are 169 and the 5100's are <$200 for the front set

Gray was saying they tend to sag and aren't rebuildable? I absolutely want a coilover setup over spacers, but I'd also like it to ride as good or better that factory. How do the billies and eibachs ride?

Since 2nd gens had a rear leaf spring recall, if u no anyone that had already replaced their lesf pack u might can get them to get their "replacement" set of leaves and use those. I just did a quick check and there are a few differences like 2nd gen are 53" and 1st gen are 54" in length and the center hole is off-set on 1st gen and not 2nd gen i think, but since u know how to turn a wrench and the internet is a thing, u might could make them work for little to no money. 2ng gen springs are a little thicker and the new packs have 4 leaves so that should get u 2" of rear lift

For the rear, the cheapest would be an AAL kit. The single AAL is very stiff. Should give you ~2.75 - 3" lift.

I needed a 3* shim due to vibrations. Should give you 3" with the above:

They arent rebuildable but with the shocks that cheap u can buy new ones for about what u can rebuild icons and the new springs will settle out a bit (like <1/2") but they are definately not gonna be coilovers and at the same time they aint gonna be coilovers $$$.
They are a huge improvement over stock, but i would guess they would fall about half way between stock and icons or kings ride wise.
If ur gonna be jumping ur truck they arent for u i suppose but they may be something to look into if not.

lol no jumps...yet...billies and eibachs are lookin good...

Looks like a solid solution for the rear, Im pretty for sure that I gotta replace them with oem before anything (and just do it all at once)
I would buy your icons but I haven't found that job yet sooooo...:D

Never seen kings?? Lol that's seems almost as the most popular.

The coilovers are going to be the best of the best. Not sure your case but I wanted to just do it right the first time and pay up for coilovers. Used ones arnt too much. Not say billys arnt right. They will do for most. Probably would have been fine for me.....but I knew that down the road I would want something better. So I wasn't going to waste the money on 2 setups. I just saved for one. I say that but know I want kings or ads lol

Just depends on how much money your wanting to spend really.

And for the rear, what I have read is the aal seem to sag rather quickly if you put them on a old leaf pack....not sure how well they will do on a bradlnd new OEM leaf pack. But if you do that I would just get a aftermarket leaf pack instead

Im kinda leaning towards a new leaf pack/oem with aal and king/icon/fox coils. I want a long term fix it and it seems the king/icon/fox coils are a higher quality item than a billie eibach combo, from what im hearing. I'd like high quality but price is some concern.

if your going to get a new leaf pack, why not just get a aftermarket pack and skip the aal?
